WhereAreYou - A Working FREE GPS Tracking Application For Blackberry Smartphone

Two weeks ago after I updated my Facebook and Twitter applications on my Blackberry smartphone I saw one more interesting GPS application which caught my attention. The application is called "WhereAreYou GPS Tracking (Personal Edition)" from which you can download from Blackberry App World and install on your Blackberry smartphone for FREE. The application does not have any icons after the installation and you won't even feel or see that its already on your phone - to simply put it, it's on stealth mode.

During the installation, you'll be asked for a valid email address, a username and your desired password. After the installation has been completed, you'll receive an email from QITLabs (the creator of this app) welcoming you and thanking you for using their application. Also along with the email will be the link where you can monitor and view your smartphone position.

The FREE edition however have some limitations although it's already enough for you to use it and utilize its functionality (refer to the image below).

The Free Edition will only let you view your mobile position every hour and from 10AM - 05PM only and data will be saved for a day only.

Why should I install such an application?

There are some positive and good reason why you should have such an application on your mobile phone or on other's phone. First, you can use this application if in case you misplaced your handset or if by some unfortunate incident a thief stole your phone. You can immediately log unto QITLabs official website and check the current or last position of your mobile phone. Another thing is you can install this on your kids phone to monitor their safety while you're at work - just to ensure that they are in safe places. You can also use this whenever you're lost since you can check your current position through the map (WhereAreYou application is using Google Maps). It's actually up to you on how you would like to use an application like this and you should take full responsibility when using it.
